Kettle bells are getting more and more popular, with a wide range of devotees from young to old from the average person on the street to top stars. I got into kettle bells to rehab a serious back injury and fell in love with the simplicity of this tool, and how the varying exercise could be used to strengthen and protect my back. The exercises can be learned and mastered quickly, easily adapted to fit into your existing exercise regime or indeed become a regime all on there own. They can be used for cardiovascular exercise and are a great strength and conditioning tool, I recently used kettle bells as my primary exercise programme whilst getting fit for a 12,500 foot ascent of Mount Fuji in Japan.

So why would you want to use Kettle bells?

  • Kettle bells teach you to use your whole body as one unit.

  • Kettle bells teach you to use good body mechanics.

  • Kettle bells will give you better conditioning and make you more resistant to injuries.

  • 10 minutes a day can make a difference.

  • There’s a great cross over to daily life.

  • For the ladies they will lift and tighten bums and Tums.

  • Remember you have a very portable/mobile gym in your hands it’s a go anywhere tool.
